Toys 'R' Us - Spread The Cost of Christmas With 'Take Time to Pay'!

Christmas… the most wonderful time of the year!

Especially for our little ones… toys, games, consoles… each year it’s as if something newer, cooler and more fun comes out!

Toys ‘R’ Us have a helpful scheme for parents…

‘Take Time To Pay’ could make your Christmas shopping much easier and less stressful! You can organise your present shopping, and avoid the masses by completing your shopping early using ‘Take Time To Pay’!

How does ‘Take Time To Pay’ work?

The scheme was originally designed to spread the cost of Christmas up to a 12 week period to take the strain out of the family pot and ensure that parents on a budget can treat their children with no strings attached.

There is a small fee of £5, and the ‘Take Time To Pay’ plan needs a 20% deposit to reserve the presents that you wish to purchase. There is no interest to be paid, so you won’t be left out of pocket!

You won’t be asked for ID or a credit check, and a payment plan with agreed dates will be set up for you when you fill out your application form.

What does the payment plan look like?

There are a range of different payment plans to suit you. You’re more than welcome to pay off your plan and collect your items within 7 days without any extra cost or penalty, or you can choose to pay over a 4, 8 or 12 week period. Payments must be monthly as a minimum requirement but you are able to make additional payments at your leisure.

If you need to cancel, you’ll get a full refund minus a £10 cancellation fee and the initial £5 set up fee.

The Toys R Us payment plan – simple and concise!

And as an added bonus…

You won’t need to worry about prying eyes, sneaky hands, or finding a decent hiding space for the presents stash as Toys ‘R’ Us will store the toys ready for when your final payment is made!

Also, you’ll be more likely to get your hands on items in high demand, rather than turning up at a later date and leaving empty handed

What our mums say about ‘Take Time To Pay’

Siobhan, a mum of 5 from Birmingham says; “I’ve done it for the past 3 years, it’s a good way to get kids presents without big expense all in one go!”

Bec, a mum of 3 from Wolverhampton says; “I did it for the first time (first time I had heard of it) last year and really took the strain off for us as we hadn’t long had our 3rd baby so we were struggling! We are going to sort ours this afternoon for this year, stress-free Christmas shopping, love it!”

April, a mum of 3 from London says; “I did it last year and I’ve done it again last week, no hidden nasties!”

I myself have set up a ‘Take Time To Pay’ plan – budgeting really isn’t my strong point so by doing this plan, I am able to watch my pennies more responsibly and relax a little.

How did I do it?

It’s honestly so simple and stress-free! We took a trip to our closest store (Derby), grabbed a trolley, and had a mooch around the store picking out things we had seen online.

We went to the till, paid the £5 deposit/admin fee, paid 20% of the overall cost upfront, provided our details on the application form and then went out for a nice family lunch. It was a really nice afternoon out, actually, and I unashamedly admit it got me into the Christmas spirit… in September!

I 100% recommend the ‘Take Time To Pay‘ scheme at Toys ‘R’ Us – with only 6 weeks to go, I’d advise that you get your skates on and get shopping!
