Have you seen the news? There’s a NEW Perfect Prep Machine on the block! We take a sneak peek to see what’s new…

For a good while now, we’ve heard parents rave about Tommee Tippee’s Perfect Prep Machine… and to be fair it does look amazing… I definitely wish these things were around when mine were babies!  So why bring out another one? And what’s the difference between the original Closer to Nature model, and the new Day and Night version?

At a Glance

Tommee Tippee’s Perfect Prep is your dream machine for sleep friendly, perfect, body temperature feeds in under 2 minutes, taking the fuss out of feeding time. Perfect Prep Day and Night features a digital screen, adjustable volume control and night time glow for perfect feeds around the clock.

Features and Benefits for Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Day and Night Machine

  • Prepares your baby’s bottle quickly, easily and accurately – it’s 10 times faster than using a kettle!
  • Silent mechanism with volume control
  • Gently glowing nightlight makes night time feeds much easier
  • Digital display gives step-by-step instructions
  • Compatible with most brands of bottle and formula
  • Anti-bacterial filter removes impurities in the water
  • Baby’s bottle will be ready to serve at body temperature within 2 minutes
  • Includes 150ml feeding bottle, milk storage lid and anti-bacterial filter
  • Choice of four colours

Some users of the Perfect Prep Closer to Nature machine reported some issues, but this was attributed to people not cleaning the machine properly, or trying to save money by using generic water filters, rather than the ones made specifically for the Perfect Prep – I’d definitely advise only using the proper Perfect Prep filters with these machines!

There are pretty clear cleaning instructions supplied, and there are also videos on YouTube that show you how to do it properly.

What else?

Tommee Tippee’s Perfect Prep machine prepares your baby’s bottle to body temperature within 2 minutes, meaning there’s more times for cuddles – and sleep! The machine has a volume control to prepare bottles quietly without waking up the whole house – if baby hasn’t already. Sleepy mums and dads will appreciate the gently glowing nightlight, which allows you to prepare bottles without turning on the ‘big’ light.

It’s designed so that you can use water straight from the tap with a unique, in-built filter system which removes bacteria and other contaminants from the water ensuring it is clean and safe, just like boiled water from the kettle.

The Perfect Prep dispenses an initial ‘hot shot’ of water at 70°c that kills any bacteria which may be present in the formula. It then dispenses the correct amount of cooler water for an accurate formula consistency delivered at body temperature. The digital display is simple to follow, making feeding time quick and easy. The Perfect Prep machine can be used with most brands of bottle and formula, but Tommee Tippee does chuck a few extras in the box, including a bottle with 150ml capacity and bottle lid to store your milk.  Handy!

In a nutshell…

If I was having another baby, and was planning to bottle feed, would I buy one? Absolutely! It’s a bit pricey, but something tells me that if I was making a feed at 3am with this bad boy, I’d be giving myself a big pat on the back for having the foresight to get one. Especially after having done it ‘the hard way’ in the past.

Where can you get them from?

There’s pretty new, so they’re not widely available yet.  I’ve only found them in Amazon, Mothercare, Boots and John Lewis so far (they were on the Very and Littlewoods websites, but sold out when I checked).
