Frozen Vegetable Listeria Recall: Updated List

Mummies and daddies, this is potentially important information for you if you use frozen vegetables!

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned the public that certain frozen food products are thought to be the origin of listeriosis (listeria) affecting five European countries, including the UK, which is being attributed to 9 deaths at the time of reporting. How awful!

Listeria is a nasty bug, and is most dangerous for those with weakened immune systems, the elderly, babies and pregnant women – the same reason why pregnant women are advised to avoid pate and deli meats when pregnant!

Which products are affected?

Here is the updated list – the FDA added more items today (8th July 2018) so we have used the most up to date source. The manufacturer is Greenyard Frozen UK, who have recalled all products and have put up ‘point of sale’ notices in stores to ensure anyone affected becomes aware.

What do I do if I am affected by this recall?

Don’t eat or continue to eat the product and take it back to where you purchased it for a full refund.

If you start to feel unwell (the symptoms of listeria can be seen on the NHS link at the stop of the article), seek urgent medical attention and ensure you tell medics that you have consumed items on the listeria recall list.

Please share this with your friends and family to raise awareness and hopefully prevent any more people becoming very poorly.
