Bell, Sons & Co to recall own-brand blackcurrant cough syrup – this company makes own brand cough syrup for many retailers as listed below…

Wilko, Tesco, Superdrug, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Numark, Morrisons, and Bell’s Healthcare’s own brand blackcurrant cough syrup is affected as they are manufactured by Bell, Sons & Co.

Reason:

Possible mould. A problem with one of the ingredients in these medicines has been identified which could cause them to allow mould to grow in the syrup. There is a small risk that this potential mould could make the child poorly, so far there have been no reported incidents.

Take the product back to where you purchased it. If your child has consumed any, see your GP as a precaution.
