Making Memories With 'Trick or Treat'!

I have to admit, I am one of those mums who takes Halloween SUPER seriously! I go the whole hog… go hard or go home, as the saying goes. It’s the perfect opportunity for family fun!

To make Trick or Treating an unforgettable experience for both your kids during their jaunt around town, and the visiting children knocking at your front door, these elements are dead important! I’ve been doing a little (lots…) of online shopping to make my house the talk of the town come the 31st of October, and couldn’t resist sharing my top finds with you all.

Sweet Buckets

I used to be sent out with a plain beach bucket, or even a plastic cake mixing bowl – not exactly festive *sob*! You can find some spooktacular pots for goodie gathering at very reasonable prices; here are my favourite.

LED Light-Up Personalised Bucket

Aaghr, how amazing are these?! They’re sure to be a hit with the kids and are a good way to promote road safety during these dark evenings. You can find them here at AweBeeDesigns*.

Personalised Fabric Bucket

I love the number of colour & spooky figure options that come with this personalised sweet bucket! You can find it here at SewWhatFun*.

Costumes

If you have a mini monster, you should check out our blog on baby Halloween costumes here! For your bigger boogiemonsters, I’ve found these really unique costumes; you won’t be able to pick these up at your local shop.

Scorpion Costume

I can honestly say I’ve never seen a scorpion Halloween costume before! This is awesome, and you can find it at thetiredbears*.

Snail Costume

This costume has made me giggle, it’s so cute! You can find it at oKidz*.

Owl Costume

Twit twoooooo, I’m gonna scare you! This owl costume can be found at AHeartlyCraft*.

Squid Costume

If your child really wants to be a little ‘outside the box’ with their costume, this slippery squid costume would be awesome – you can find it here at HandmadeCostumeShop*.

Outdoor Decoration

I’m SO excited to set my house up; I have my long, loooooong list of ideas and inspo. Here are my favourite decs;

Ghost Lights For Indoor & COVERED Outdoor Use

Ooooooooh, now aren’t these ghost lights just perfect?! They would be ace in a window dressed for Halloween, or under a porch for awaiting Trick or Treaters. You can find them here at QueenOfTheManzanita*.

Trick or Treating Ghost Lawn Stake

Welcome the neighbourhood children with this spooky & fun sign! I’m definitely getting one of these for my front garden. You can find it at EMCYardArt*.

Glowing Eye Window Stickers

I’ve actually bought multiple packs of these and will be sticking them in all the windows! These are spot on if you’re going for a haunted house look. You can find them at Topdiscounts*.

Spider Pumpkin Stand

This is such a creative idea – you can make your very own pumpkin spider with this stand. You can find it at DesignedEleganceShop*.

Pumpkin Teeth

If you’re not a dab hand with a knife (like me…), why not avoid injuries when intricately carving teeth by getting some of these clever teeth! They’re reusable and can be used in other fruits and vegetables for future fun too. You can find them here at PUMPKINTEETH*.
