Who are The 5am Mama?
The 5am Mama was founded in March 2022 by Laura Oduntan, a mama of 2 little girls who 'love an early start to the day and a midnight party. as the saying goes; the days are long but the months and years are short...but some days are so very long!' If you're part of the proverbial '5am club', then The 5am Mama is a brand you'll definitely vibe with.
With a degree in fashion design and over a decade worth of experience working in the fashion industry and social media marketing, Laura wanted to bring all of her experiences together to launch The 5am Mama. Laura very savvily spotted a gap in the clothing market for a loungewear brand offering 'stylish, matching outfits' that can be worn all day, no matter the occasion. Drawing inspiration from her own experiences as a mummy and lack of sleep, Laura wanted to create a collection of clothing that was 'neutral enough to be worn by both girl and boy mums with no cheesy prints or motifs. The simple slogan ‘the 5am club’ features across all the tops, a subtle nod to that notion of being awake during the early hours, but not through choice'.
Laura has chosen to focus on flattering and oversized fits, designed to cater to all mums, pregnant women and those who still have a bit of a bump left. Every piece in the collection by The 5am Mama is carefully and lovingly designed by their founder Laura, then manufactured in India using only 100% organic cotton for super soft, sustainable garments that are made to last. The 5am Mama is also plastic-free and only uses fully recyclable packaging.

“Every new parent expects to have sleepless nights in the first few weeks after giving birth, but when the sleep issues continue months and years later, it can really affect a mother’s mental health. The physical lack of sleep is one thing but the mental impact is heightened when everyone else’s baby seems to sleep a full 12 hours each night. I wanted to create a safe space for sleep-deprived mums to come together and know they are not alone. The brand is an honest reflection of motherhood, celebrating the highs but also coming together for the lows.”

What postage does The 5am Mama offer?
The 5am Mama offers some great postage and shipping options - they will arrange shipping as soon as possible after your order is placed, typically within 1-2 working days. You'll then be able to track your order until it arrives.
- UK shipping: through Evri, needs to be before 11am for next day delivery. Standard 2-3 business days £2.95 (free over £60). Express 1 business day £5.95
- Worldwide shipping: please be aware customs and duty payments will be liable for you to pay to the courier before delivery. Via Royal Mail International for europe and with DHL for the rest of the world. Europe standard 2-11 business days £14.99. Worldwide standard 3-17 business days £34.99.
