The Big Family Day Out is an event we cannot WAIT to attend with the kids!
After another sell-out year in 2023, the Highest Point Big Family Day Out is back for 2024, promising another wonderful day of family fun at an affordable price for everyone.
Set at Williamson Park, this day out will be alive and filled with things to do this year! On the Main Stage you'll get to see the one and only MC Grammar - rapping teacher and World Book Day Hero, fresh from his recent tour and Little Voices appearances. Alongside MC Grammar will be Scottish legends, Peat & Diesel, with their famous Celtic rock, Cumbrian 5-piece, The Moonshine Shakers as well as local heroes Molly Warburton and George Lawson, and performances by Stagecoach performing arts.
Elsewhere in the park, the organisers are excited to share that some returning favourites from last year will be attending: the Dinosaurs of Lancaster area and the roaming Transformers characters courtesy of Don’t Panic, the Award-winning baby and toddler music sensory classes from Hartbeeps; as well as the amazing Drum Machine bringing performances and workshops for 2024. There will also be lots of new things to see and do!
The World Owl Trust will be bringing some of the majestic birds of prey for your children to come and learn about; there will be archery set up for the kids to test their aim courtesy of Outdoor Elements; a relaxing headphone story time session with A Word In Your Ear; and also Rhubarb Theatre’s Bombardiers and Admirals shows or PIF PAF Theatre’s new show TOAST. The whole family will find an activity they love! There's also a new sports area, green screen photos and things to do around the park.
The evet will be open 10am - 4pm and entry tickets for Big Family Day Out will cost £15 for Adults and £10 for Children (5-17), with under 5’s going free.
