Our Marvellous Mother’s Day Gift Guide for 2019!
Mothering Sunday in the UK is on the 31st of March 2019!
Have you decided what you’ll be treating the mummy in your life to this year? Or if you’re a mama, have you decided what you’d like to be gifted? Here are our favourite picks to help inspire your Mother’s Day shopping… We hope this helps you!
1st Mother’s Day
The first Mother’s Day is always extra special, so why not mark the occasion with a gift to match? One of our favourite ideas is to sneak a lovely candid shot of mummy and baby, and fit it into a frame like the one below. This frame is from My 1st Years*. How about a ‘twinning’ set? You can find this Boss set at My 1st Years here*. A personalised necklace like the one we’ve spotted here could also be a great choice. This can be personalised for Mother’s Day. You can find this at Etsy*, and it comes in a gift box too for handy wrapping.
We think that personalised gifts are a perfect choice for Mother’s Day! If she likes a brew, this bear family mug set* is sure to be adored. My 1st Years are offering free personalisation so you can add any nicknames of your choice. This ‘So Loved’ Pink Slate hanging sign* from My 1st Years is small and sweet, with free personalisation available to give it extra sentimental value. A personalised gin glass is another fabulous Mother’s Day gift suggestion. Prezzybox have this classy personalised gin glass* available for Mother’s Day shoppers, and we LOVE it!
For the mummy who enjoys chocolate, a personalised bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk is sure to be much appreciated. You can add images of your choice to a large selection of their products; you can see more here*. You could make your own personalised gift with this 52 Aperture Year In Memories Frame* from The White Company! All you need to do is add 52 stunning snaps from the previous year (let’s face it, most of us parents take at least 52 photos of our babies in a week alone!).
Pampering Gifts for Mums
Why not send the mama in your life off for a relax and pamper session to show her how much you care. This Pampering Treat Day Gift For Two voucher* includes a 25 minute treatment and day access to the spa facilities for only £59 and can be redeemed at 29 spa locations. This afternoon tea for 2 package* at J D Williams is another relaxing Mother’s Day gift.
Cadbury have shared their Mother’s Day goodies with us. The cute messages to mummy give these a loving touch, and you can even personalise your Cadbury gift. Shop the range here*. Want something she will use every day? This Paco Rabanne Lady Million smells divine. You can find it reduced in price at Superdrug here*! This wooden caddy from Etsy is really highly rated, and would look lovely in any bathroom, especially those with a rustic theme! You can see it here*.
You could send the mummy in your life off on a relaxing day at the Marriot Spa with this pass for two! You can get this pass* at JD Williams, who are also offering up to 25% off selected Mother’s Day Gifts this week. How dreamy does this One Night Luxury Cabin Camping package* sound? Purchase the voucher from JD Williams to give the mama in your life and a friend (or you) a night in a luxury cabin near Glastonbury with a king-size bed, and all the mod cons, so you can ‘get away’ without getting too far away.
If mama loves pampering and beauty, you can enjoy 15% off your order at Beauty Expert with the code BE15. The code expires on the 17th of March. This Pixi Hello Glow! Kit* will give the mother in your life some extra sparkle. This Grow Gorgeous Hair Growth Serum Intense* is great – their independent trials found that it increases the thickness of each hair strand by 13%, and our mamas love it. Boots are also running an offer where you can save up to 60% off selected fragrances. Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Sunshine Eau De Toilette 50ml Limited Edition* is one of our favourites.
Another fabulous deal in time for Mother’s Day at Boots is their Better Than Half Price offer on selected gifts. Why not spoil her with this Yankee Candle Mother’s Day Gift Set*, which is more than half price at £24.50! The White Company Sleep Well Set* is highly rated and sought after, as it’s so helpful at aiding a tranquil nights sleep. These pink Feather Pom-Pom Velvet Mule Slippers* from The White Company would be perfect for winding down after a pampering session.
Free and low-cost Mother’s Day Activity and Present ideas
We asked the mummies in our Facebook community for inspiration for free and low-cost activities and gifts, and were blown away with the fabulous suggestions.
- A picnic – if the weather is rubbish, you could do this at home! Prepare a spread of mama’s favourite foods, pack them into a hamper, and surprise her to a picnic with her loved ones.
- Find out where your nearest pottery workshop is, as they may do painting sessions for little ones. Your children could paint mugs or other ceramic goodies for mummy.
- Bake mummy some cakes or muffins with the kids.
- Create some artistic handprint or footprint paintings; you could use this for a Mother’s Day card too.

Mummies in our community have told us that personalised jewellery is a favourite of theirs, especially rose gold which is very en vogue at the moment, so this personalised rose gold ID bracelet* from Card Factory has really caught our eye! It’s delicate and graceful, and the personalised message gives it beautiful sentimental value. Matching ‘mini me’ sets are super popular with our mummies, so they’re sure to be loved for Mother’s Day. Subscription gifts that keep giving
I really like subscription gifts; you get so much for your money, and by giving one for Mother’s Day you help to reinforce that her efforts are appreciated all year round. We’ve found some superb subscription gift ideas to suit all mummies! One of our favourites is this 3 month Gin Club subscription* from Next. Do they enjoy a good book? This Bespoke Book Subscription from Prezzybox* is perfect for any avid reader. You can choose a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription, and tailor the books to individual tastes. How fabulous! A year of cake… I’m looking at this subscription* and drooling!
To Mum from Bump
Looking for something lovely and heartfelt to get her a gift from the baby on the way? We adore this keyring* from Etsy (image below). Another great idea for a mummy-to-be from bump is a scan photo frame! This handmade frame* would make a lovely keepsake. We also love this bracelet* by Joma Jewellery at Moonpig.
