What Is World of Paw Patrol at Chessington?

World of Paw Patrol is a brand new themed area within Chessington World of Adventures, bringing Adventure Bay to life in the most amazing way. Think vivid colours, iconic characters around every corner, and rides designed to delight kids of all ages. And yes, I said all ages! My daughter Maisie is 12 and thought it was sooooo much fun, and I have to admit, I loved it too (and I'm 44!!).

The area features 4 main rides, a play area, a gift shop, a food stall, and a character meet and greet. They really did think of everything!

One important thing to flag before you go: all riders must be a minimum of 90cm tall, so worth checking if you have very little ones.

Is World of Paw Patrol at Chessington Suitable for Older Kids?

100% yes! This was something I wasn't sure about before we visited but I'm so glad we went. While the area is clearly aimed at younger children, Maisie is 12 and had an absolute ball. The rides are genuinely exciting for older kids too, especially Chase's Mountain Mission which was much faster than any of us expected! Even this 44 year old mum was completely swept up in it all. Don't let the age of your kids put you off!

What rides are at World of Paw Patrol?

There are 4 main rides to choose from and each one offers something completely different.

Chase's Mountain Mission (Our Favourite!)

Honestly, this was the highlight of the day for us. Chase's Mountain Mission is a junior rollercoaster and I'll be straight with you, we went in expecting something fairly tame. We were SO wrong! It was much faster than we expected, which made it even better. It's the perfect introduction for younger children to the world of adrenaline seeking, while still being a brilliant ride for older kids and adults too. We were grinning from ear to ear!

SKyes Helicopter Heroes Paw Patrol Chessington

Skye's Helicopter Heroes

This one spins you up into the air and we were genuinely shocked by how high it went!! If you're expecting a gentle little merry-go-round situation, prepare to be surprised. The pink theming is gorgeous and it's a brilliant ride for kids who love a bit of height.

Marshalls Fire Rescue World of Paw Patrol

Marshall's Firetruck Rescue

I still can't get over how good this ride looks! The colours, the design, everything about it is just brilliant. It's also great fun watching the dads sitting on the bus with the whole park watching on (very cute!). Loads of spaces to leave your buggy nearby too, which is really helpful.

Zumas Hovercraft adventure chessington world of paw patrol

Zuma's Hovercraft Adventure

If your family loves twisting and turning, you'll love this one! The hovercrafts spin around a central lighthouse and while it sounds like it might be a lot for the tummy, it's actually surprisingly easy going. So much fun!

The Play Area

The play area is absolutely stunning! It's so colourful and brilliantly designed, and we loved how the little ones and bigger kids all played happily together in the same space. There's a fantastic ship structure, climbing areas, and all the Adventure Bay theming you could wish for. It really does feel magical.

How Do You Meet the Paw Patrol Characters at Chessington?

We didn't manage to make the character meet and greet on the day but here's a top tip: download the Chessington app before you visit! It gives you the most up to date times for character appearances so you can plan your day around it and make sure you get that photo with your favourite pup.

Food Options at World of Paw Patrol

There's a dedicated food stall right inside World of Paw Patrol (the Rescue Refreshments stand) so you don't have to leave the area at lunchtime, which is a brilliant touch. We didn't eat there ourselves but having that option is so handy. If you'd rather bring your own food, there's also a lovely grassed area nearby where you can sit and have a picnic.

Honest REview World of Paw Patrol at Chessington World of Adventures

The Gift Shop

OK so I don't usually buy things from gift shops but the Skye bubble wands were EVERYWHERE and every single child seemed to have one. The FOMO got to us and we had to get one. Best decision we made! The amount of bubbles was seriously impressive. I'm fairly convinced every kid visiting that day got one! The Hook a Bone stand is also super cute if your little ones fancy trying their luck at winning a Paw Patrol plushie.

Oh and if you forget your suncream like we did, you can pick some up at the Adventure Point gift shop nearby. Lifesaver!

Practical Tips for Visiting World of Paw Patrol Chessington

  • Pack hats, snacks and water. On a busier day (like a hot Saturday!) queues are to be expected so you want to be prepared.
  • Water stations are dotted all around the park so you can refill your bottles, which is a great touch.
  • Toilets were clean and well maintained throughout our visit. Always a win at a theme park!
  • Staff were absolutely everywhere, constantly helping people, showing families around and making sure everything ran smoothly. So impressed!
  • Fastrack passes are not valid inside World of Paw Patrol, so make sure you factor that in before buying them and that you'll get enough use out of them in other parts of the park first.
  • Download the Chessington app before you go for up to date ride wait times and character meet and greet schedules.

Is World of Paw Patrol at Chessington Worth the Money?

Here's something that really impressed us. Your ticket isn't just for World of Paw Patrol, it gives you access to the entire Chessington World of Adventures! So you get to experience the new Paw Patrol world AND the rest of the park, which is brilliant value in my opinion. Tickets are also up to half price when you book in advance online so it really pays to plan ahead.

We drove all the way from the North East and believe me when I say that is a LONG drive! Was it worth it? Absolutely, 100%, without question. Maisie and I both agreed we wished we'd stayed for two days rather than one. If you're making a big trip of it, I'd definitely recommend booking an overnight stay so you can make the most of everything.

What's Coming Next? World of Minecraft 2027

While we were there we spotted that World of Minecraft is coming to Chessington in 2027!! If it's anything like World of Paw Patrol it is going to be absolutely amazing. Cannot wait!
