Get Set For National Storytelling Week!

Whether you’re a huge lover of stories or an occasional reader. Between the 27th January to the 3rd February, National Storytelling Week invites us enjoy the oldest art form in the World…

Organised by the Society for Storytellers, this week will see events hosted up and down the country, in places such as book clubs, libraries, theatres, museums, schools, hospitals, care homes – and of course you can join in at home.

How Can I Participate?

• Reading or making up a story with your children.
• Attend one of the fab storytelling events – click here to see what’s on near you.
• Gather the extended family and friends around and share stories from the past.

The Society for Storytelling was established in 1993. With a big aim of promoting the oral ancient art of storytelling. If you’re a person who loves storytelling or a person (like me) who loves to listen, you can get involved by doing above. You can also hire a storyteller!

All over the UK, people are getting involved and bringing everyone together. And you can be a part of this wonderful experience.
