Everything You Need to Know: LEGO Festival Returning to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort

If your household is LEGO-obsessed (mine absolutely is), you'll want to get this one in the diary.

LEGO Festival is back at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, running for six weeks from Monday 20th July to Monday 31st August 2026, and this year it's bigger than ever with two brand-new zones added to the line-up.

It's essentially a festival built just for kids, with play, music and creativity taking over the park on top of all the usual rides and attractions. As a mum who has stepped on more loose bricks than I'd like to admit, I can tell you the new Pokémon zone alone is going to cause some serious excitement in our house.

What's New at the Park?

LEGO Festival is spread across five play zones this year, each with its own thing going on. Here's the breakdown:

• NEW LEGO Pokémon Play Zone: Step inside for a 15-minute interactive Trainer Centre experience, build your own LEGO Poké Ball, and get hands-on with LEGO SMART Play activities. There's also a photo moment with LEGO Pikachu, so charge your phone before you go. Access is via a virtual queue on the app, so it's worth joining early in the day.
• NEW F1 Thrill Zone: Take on the LEGO Formula 1 Brick Stop Challenge, catch the drum-fuelled Pit Lane Hype show, and let the kids design and test their own F1 car before a podium photo moment. A good one for burning off some energy.
• LEGO Music Zone: A live band takes to the stage, LEGO-style, for a proper singalong moment.
• LEGO Creative Zone: Hands-on brick building for the ones who'd happily sit and build for hours (you know the type).
• LEGO Chill Out Zone: A calmer, sensory-friendly "Secret Garden" space, ideal if anyone in your group needs a breather from the noise and queues.

Do You Need a Separate Ticket?

No, and this is the bit I love. LEGO Festival is included with your standard LEGOLAND ticket, so there's no extra cost stacked on top of your day out. Online tickets currently start from around £29.75 when booked in advance, and children get a free souvenir lanyard as part of the LEGO Festival ticket, a small win but a nice one.

Planning Your Visit

This runs across the entire school summer holidays, so expect it to be busy, especially on weekends and during the last couple of weeks before term starts. A few mum-tested tips before you go:

• Book online in advance: It's cheaper than turning up on the day, and locks in your date so you're not left disappointed.
• Join the Pokémon zone queue early: It's virtual and joined via the app, so get this sorted as soon as you're through the gates rather than waiting until after lunch.
• Pack for a long day: With five zones plus the usual rides, this is easily a full day out. Bring snacks, comfy shoes and maybe a spare change of clothes if Drench Towers is on your list too.
• Use the Chill Out Zone if things get overwhelming: Handy to know it's there if anyone needs five minutes away from the crowds.
• Consider a Twice the Fun ticket: For a similar price, you can add free entry to a second Merlin park such as Alton Towers, Thorpe Park or Chessington, worth it if you're making a longer trip of it.
