BBC Children In Need 2019

The 2019 Children In Need Appeal Show is set to air on BBC One on Friday the 15th of November at 7:30pm. Will you be watching?

Featuring hosts such as Tess Daly, Tom Allen, Ade Adepitan, Graham Norton, Mel Giedroyc, and Marvin & Rochelle Humes, the show promises a night full of fun, comedy, musical entertainment, awareness raising and fundraising. We’re so excited to watch!

What is BBC Children In Need?

Children In Need is a BBC charity who provides grants to projects in the UK which ‘focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged’. They support organisations of all sizes who work on giving children greater choices and empowerment in life; this is an ethos that we at Bump, Baby & You are hugely supportive of as parents ourselves!

The BBC Children In Need appeal takes place on television each November; a huge show full of entertainment is put on for us all to enjoy, with fund and awareness raising also being a large aspect of the show. Before the show is televised, there are loads of opportunities for us to get involved and do some fundraising!

For every £1 donated, a minimum of 95p goes directly towards changing the lives of children in the UK; this is fantastic.

How Can I Support BBC Children In Need?

To raise funds for BBC Children In Need before their televised show on the 15th of November, there are so many ways that you can get involved with the campaign! BBC Children In Need have some fabulous suggestions on their website…

  • Organise a bake sale.
  • Throw a dinner party where guests donate to the charity.
  • Offer to take in lunch to work for colleagues and ask for a small donation to go to the charity.

Bring and Buy sales are a great way to raise funds for BBC Children In Need. You could;

These could also work hand in hand with the Masterchef challenge; a bake sale, coffee morning and bring and buy sale under the same roof could raise some serious funds.
