Birds Eye Recall: Plastic Warning For Chicken Nuggets

If you’ve purchased Birds Eye chicken nuggets recently, you need to be aware of this recall notice.

Product recalled:

Birds Eye 790g chicken nuggets – golden wholegrain (contains 50 pieces)

Batch number:

“L9208 W V124”, “L9208 X V124”, “L9208 Y V124” “L9208 Z V124”

Best before date October 2020

Reason for recall:

Plastic is believed to have contaminated the product due to a ‘manufacturing fault’.

Statement from Birds Eye:

“The safety of everyone who enjoys and loves our products is of the utmost importance to us. As soon as we became aware of a potential situation with our chicken nuggets, we immediately investigated and took precautionary action. This particular batch may contain small pieces of clear plastic due to an isolated manufacturing fault and we simply do not want to risk people consuming it.”

Action to take:

Don’t eat them – take them to where you purchased them for a full refund. You don’t need proof of purchase. You could also post the batch code of the pack to Birds Eye Limited Freepost ADM3939, London SW1A 1YS.
