Our Top 5 Baby & Toddler Video Channels on YouTube

My little lad Max is a big fan of toddler friendly YouTube videos – carefully checked by us first, of course – and we’ve definitely narrowed it down to five specific channels where you can find engaging, interactive videos, most of which are actually educational and cover phonics, the alphabet, numbers, colours and much more.

Dave & Ava

Dave & Ava are the favourite sibling duo in our household! We love how adorable the animated nursery rhymes are, and Max’s favourite video segment is by far 'One Little Finger'. We’ve found that it’s really helped to bring on his speech.

Genevieve’s Playhouse

Genevieve uses real life objects and her own hands to make these videos, unlike many which are animated. She also uses figurines to engage in imaginative role play action in some episodes! We like this, as it encourages little ones to use their own hands to engage in hands-on learning activities.

Little Baby Bum

Little Baby Bum is very popular with our mummies and daddies! Like Dave & Ava, they focus on nursery rhymes and music to help children learn, with a cast of adorable animated characters.

CoComelon

CoComelon is a great YouTube channel for a fun singalong! The wide cast of brightly coloured baby, child and animal figures, with the main cast being a family, really gets my little one singing and dancing in the morning! We also really like how they use topical issues to impart an educational message.

Pinkfong

Most of you will know Pinkfong for their rendition of ‘Baby Shark’ which went well and truly viral, so it was only natural to include them in our top 5! They have loads of other exciting toddler sensory & educational videos and specialise in telling stories through song, but Baby Shark is definitely our favourite! Is it yours? We also like the Pinkfong Visits Doctors video below, as it's a fab way to explain to a small child who may be quite anxious and not know what to expect.
