The Royal Baby Watch has officially started over here at BBY – we’re so excited for Harry & Meghan!
It has been widely reported that through their spokesperson at Kensington Palace, the Royal couple have released the following announcement regarding the birth of their first child;
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.
‘Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.
‘The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.’” Kensington Palace
Fair play to them!
I think most parents can relate to wanting some quiet time to bask in the afterglow of becoming a family, and to enjoy their new baby with their loved ones first, especially parents who are public figures and in the spotlight 24/7.
How did you go about maintaining privacy when you had your babies? I wish I’d been stricter – I was overwhelmed with all the visitors (especially after having had an emergency caesarean!), and next time want a few quiet days to settle in, get to know my new baby, establish breastfeeding and be able to take a shower!
Tell us your stories in the comments.
Love from Katie! Xx
