Mothercare stores will close for good this Sunday – we’re so sorry to anyone impacted by these closures.
As a result, any remaining stock in stores will be hugely reduced in order to shift as much as possible – you can get at least 50% off any remaining stock, which is great news for new parents or anyone needing to stock up.
The Mothercare website is now offline, meaning that bargain hunters will need to visit their nearest open branch, as some stores have already closed – in November 2019, the retailer collapsed into administration and closed down 79 stores after facing a £36.3 million pound loss. Mothercare attributed cheaper supermarket alternatives and online shopping as the cause for their collapse, which other retailers have recently experienced too – Mamas and Papas, and The Book People being just two examples!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Vouchers and gift cards can no longer be used as of November 2019. Stores outside the UK (1000 in 40 countries) are not affected by the collapse.
We hope that anyone who goes bargain hunting is able to get some great deals, and we’re also sending all of our love to all of the staff affected by the closures.
Love from Katie & Team BBY. Xx
