Ashley Graham Shares Labour Photo

by Bump, Baby & You

Supermodel Ashley Graham has shared a powerful image with her followers!

Ashley, who gave birth to her son Isaac with her husband Justin Ervin in January 2020, shared the intimate photo on her Instagram with her 10.6 million followers. The image captures both the pain she was in and the amazing strength that women show when giving birth, and it’s honestly beautiful.

“This is the face of my greatest strength. The greatest pain I’ve ever known and the greatest accomplishment that I’ve ever achieved. On this International Women’s Day understand that despite whatever pain or trial we have all experienced as women, we are also strong, powerful and capable of accomplishing greatness. Happy International Women’s Day! Let’s all celebrate our, and each other’s strengths today.”

As an advocate for women and for body positivity, Ashley has certainly delivered a very poignant message with one image.

We often see birth images shared by public figures but most of the time, they’re carefully posed and depicting a perfectly made-up mum cradling a clean, swaddled baby – it’s really refreshing to see a woman becoming a mother as it happens, the reality of childbirth, without the rose-tinting! In fact, Ashley has posted other images on her Instagram that accurately depict both the pure joy and the exhaustion that new parents will experience. We love how real she is.
