McDonald’s Offering FREE Drinks To NHS Workers & Emergency Staff

by Bump, Baby & You

We do love a positive news story, and McDonald’s have certainly put a smile on our faces today.

In a drive to support and recognise our hardworking NHS and emergency staff, McDonald’s will be giving FREE drinks to these individuals during the coronavirus outbreak to thank them for their hard work and efforts at such a tense and stressful time. This applies to NHS staff, council workers, and emergency services (such as police, paramedics etc).

McDonald’s have released a statement saying;

“We want to reward and support the health and care workers doing an incredible job in difficult and unprecedented times. This offer is a token of our appreciation for the tireless work that these professionals are carrying out in the communities in which we operate. From today (Wednesday) we are offering free drinks for those workers in our restaurants and drive-thrus, on sight of their work pass.”

To get a free drink, eligible people just need to show their official ID (for example, their NHS ID). It applies to ALL drinks, too.

From 5am today, McDonald’s became drive-thru and McDelivery only, in an effort to help the efforts to curtail the spread of COVID-19.

Share with your NHS and emergency worker friends & family to spread the news! They deserve a treat for all of their dedication.

Love from Katie & Team BBY. Xx
