Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah Winfrey has been a hot topic this morning – we’re dying to watch the entire thing on ITV tonight at 9pm.
ITV reportedly paid £1 million for the rights to show the interview. It was broadcast last night on American network CBS (around 1am UK time).
We’ve seen so many snippets on breakfast television this morning. It looks like there are some intense topics that the couple will be discussing… However, the one thing we’re really thrilled to hear is that Harry and Meghan have revealed they’re having a baby girl.
This is thought to be the FIRST EVER royal baby gender reveal!
Oprah questioned the couple on whether their new addition would be a baby boy or a baby girl and Harry answered: “It’s a girl.”
Winfrey went on to ask how the Duke felt when he saw the ultrasound and he replied: “Amazing.”
The Duke of Sussex went on to say: “[I’m] just grateful to have any child. Any, one or two, would have been amazing but to have a boy and then a girl what more can you ask for?
Now we’ve got our family, we got the four of us and our two dogs.”
Meghan added that the baby will also be due “in the summer”.
When Oprah asked if they were “done” with two children, the Duke replied: “done”.
With the Duchess of Sussex re-affirming: “Two is it.”
Meghan gave birth to baby Archie back in May 2019. She went on to announce her heartbreaking miscarriage in 2020.
The Duke and Duchess announced their pregnancy on Valentine’s Day this year with a beautiful photograph.
The couple decided to take a step back from the limelight and their roles as senior royals at the beginning of 2020. The world has been watching the ‘megxit’ journey with intensity. Both Meghan and Harry have faced relentless scrutiny from the public and media.
We wish you the best of luck with your baby girl – congratulations and lots of love to Harry and Meghan!
