Did you see the news over the weekend? Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his partner Carrie Symonds have named their newborn son.
Their new arrival is called: Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas.
Wilfred, who was born at 9am on April 29th, shares his first name with the Prime Minister’s grandfather, and the first of his middle names, Lawrie, with Carrie’s grandfather.
His last middle name, Nicholas, is a tribute to “Dr Nick Price and Dr Nick Hart – the two doctors that saved Boris’ life last month”, Carrie said on an instagram post.
Dr Nick Price is a consultant in infectious diseases and general medicine and Dr Nick Hart is the director of the Lane Fox Respiratory Service and a professor of respiratory and critical care medicine.
Carrie Symonds expressed her gratitude to the maternity staff at London’s University College Hospital (UCLH), adding to her post: “Thank you so, so much to the incredible NHS maternity team at UCLH that looked after us so well.
“I couldn’t be happier. My heart is full.”
The gorgeous picture shows Ms Symonds, 32, cradling the newborn, who has a head full of beautiful blonde hair similar to his Daddy’s!
It is understood Mr Johnson was present throughout the birth but has now returned to work at Downing Street where he is leading the response to the pandemic.
Boris has 4 older children from a previous marriage to Marina Wheeler Lara Lettice Johnson, Theodore Apollo Johnson, Cassia Peaches Johnson and Milo Arthur Johnson.
The Court of Appeal said: “The core information in this story, namely that the father had an adulterous affair with the mother, deceiving both his wife and the mother’s partner and that the claimant, born about nine months later, was likely to be the father’s child, was a public interest matter which the electorate was entitled to know when considering his fitness for high public office.”
