As part of their online Christmas campaign for 2019, Deliveroo has vowed to raise £100,000 for midwives!
With every order made through the Deliveroo website, they will be making a donation to London NHS Trust UCLH which will contribute towards additional training and new equipment.
Their #ForTheMidwives campaign identifies midwives as ‘the best delivery service in the country’, which as mummies we completely agree with! Their advert is a great watch; it highlights the immense hard work put in by our NHS midwives, and the compassion they have for mummies and babies. They really do deserve this positive public awareness campaign and donations, especially over Christmas – many midwives have their own children but will be working through the festive period to safely deliver our babies into the world. Christmas is one of the busiest periods on the maternity ward, with 1400 babies expected to be born in the UK over Christmas!
The advert specifically focuses on midwife Katy, and follows her as she talks about her profession, and how she makes sacrifices to deliver the most precious gifts of all – our babies!
