Our hearts are aching at these Mother’s Day cards by Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis made for their late grandmother, Princess Diana.
The beautifully designed cards with heartwarming messages were shared on the Kensington Royal instagram page (and other social media channels) this weekend.
The post was captioned:
‘This year Mother’s Day will be different once again.
Many of us will be apart from our loved ones, but looking forward to a time in the not too distant future when we can give our mother a hug again.
But for those experiencing bereavement, today may be particularly challenging.
Each year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William.
Whatever your circumstances, we are thinking of you this Mother’s Day 💐’
Prince George, who is just 7 years old, drew a fantastic landscape picture and used beautiful colours to depict mountains, trees and birds in the sky. It looks like he has an artistic flair. On his card to his grandmother the future king wrote: “Dear Granny Diana, Happy Happy Mother’s Day. I love you very much and think of you always. Sending lots of love from George xxxxx
Princess Charlotte, who is 5, painted a beautifully colourful heart and used stickers to decorate her card – including a pretty ballerina mouse. In her message to her grandmother she wrote: ‘Dear Granny Diana, I am thinking of you on Mother’s Day. I love you very much. Papa is missing you. Lots of love Charlotte xxxxxxxxx
And little Prince Louis, who will be turning 3 in April, joined in the fun using stickers to decorate his card – he even signed his own name!
For those of you who are experiencing a bereavement this mothers day or simply can’t be with your loved ones due to the pandemic, we’re thinking of you.
Lots of love – Team Bump Baby and You
