Fashion house LMVH (who own Louis Vuitton) is stepping in to protect France by producing hand sanitiser alongside their usual products.
And no, it won’t be expensive, high-end hand sanitiser.
In fact, the company will be providing them to French health services for FREE! They’ve told the press;
“These gels will be delivered free of charge to the health authorities. LVMH will use the production lines of its perfume and cosmetic brands… to produce large quantities of hydroalcoholic gels from Monday. LVMH will continue to honour this commitment for as long as necessary, in connection with the French health authorities.”
It makes sense that the company will be using their cosmetics production line to make something that is both in shortage and also useful for the health of the community, and it’s a great example of corporate social responsibility too. Well done, Louis Vuitton!
The situation in France is tense, and the country has closed its restaurants, cafes and non-vital shops in an attempt to curtail the spread of COVID-19 amongst the French population. This move by Louis Vuitton could prove helpful!
