Trading Standards have issued a recall alert for a children’s scooter.
What scooter has been recalled?
There is little information with regard to the manufacturer, brand, or retailers where this can be purchased – it seems to be an import from China and would possibly be on sale in independent/smaller shops. If YOU know where this is on sale, please tell us in the comments!
The image of the scooter can be seen in the cover image – it is quite distinctive. The model number is ‘563’.
Why has the scooter been recalled?
The front wheels are too small and are able to become jammed in holes/dips in the ground which could lead to injuries. It also does not comply with the requirements of the Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1.
What should I do if my child has this scooter?
Take it back to where it was purchased and inform the seller of this recall notice – you can find the official Trading Standards notice here. You should be entitled to a refund.
